Doug
James Doug was born in Great Falls, Montana, on February 2, 1957. He received a B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University, with high honors, in 1979. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Montana in 1982. He served on the U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee Panel for the State of Montana for several years and was chairman of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Montana. Doug has the distinct honor of being listed in the publication, The Best Lawyers in America under two categories: banking and creditor-debtor rights, and bankruptcy law, .
Doug served as an Adjunct Instructor at Rocky Mountain College, Billings, teaching several divisions of Business Law. He is a frequent speaker at the Annual Montana Bankruptcy Seminar and has also spoken at the Northwest Bankruptcy Conference in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and for the Montana Bankers Association.
Doug's principle areas of practice are bankruptcy law, banking, real estate development, commercial transactions, and commercial litigation.
