E. Smith
Tom Smith was born in Billings on January 13, 1959. He attended Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington, receiving his B.A. degree in 1981, and his J.D. degree in 1984. While at Gonzaga, Tom served as the student member on the Board of Regents, Gonzaga University, from 1980 to 1981, and studied abroad at the Gonzaga-in-Florence (Italy) program..
Tom returned to Billings in 1984 and began working at the Moulton Law Firm. Tom's practice emphasizes all facets of real estate law, water law, and telecommunications. He also works in the area of banking law and commercial transactions. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Montana, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Tom is currently a shareholder in the firm. He is married to Robin who is a physical therapist, and they have one daughter, Evan, who is a senior at Billings Senior High School. In his free time, Tom enjoys reading, biking, being a loyal fan of Gonzaga basketball, and following his daughter’s varsity sports of soccer and tennis.
